The KDISC Disability Library and Resource Centre

The main focus of the Kiwanis Disability Information and Support Centre is our KDISC Disability Library and Resource Centre.

With over RM 30,000 of material (and still buying more!), our Disability Library is probably the most comprehensive in the region. Our book and video collection covers a wide variety of disability issues and categories, and you can browse through the titles we have by clicking here . We regularly purchase new material and we welcome suggestions on what books you would like to see on our shelves. The usage of the library is FREE but the books and videos are not available for borrowing.

KDISC also acts as a centralized database and referral centre. Our Disability Directory contains virtually every disability resource, organization, support group, service, doctor and therapist in Malaysia . Wherever you are in the country, you can find out what is available in your area by browsing through our Online Disability Directory by clicking here. You can also call us, email, fax or make a personal visit to KDISC (click here for our contact details) for information.

KDISC also has a
Disability Brochure Area with hundreds of pamphlets and brochures from various Malaysian disability organizations and groups which you can take as required.

You are also encouraged to browse and take our popular and useful KDISC Factsheets , written in simple language and covering a variety of disabilities and issues. They are ideal for new parents and for sharing around. These are also available online by clicking here.

Our KDISC Community Noticeboard is available for you to promote upcoming events, publicize workshops, form your own support groups and for your personal notices and requests. Notices you put up will also appear on our Online Noticeboard (click here), and vice versa.
