DescriptionThere are at present about 210 spastic children from ages 1 to 18 receiving education therapy and rehabilitation training at the centre. Another about 30 spastic adults work in the sheltered workshop. There are several facilities at the Spastic Centre to provide free transport, education and treatment (including physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy) to the spastic children. Some of these facilities include clinics, classrooms, hydrotherapy pool, training kitchen, computer laboratory, library, music room, buses, shops, special sports training equipment and a multi-purpose hall. Other therapies include hydrotherapy, hippotherapy (riding for the disabled) and selective posterior rhizotomy.

DescriptionPERKOBP has its origin as an informal support group formed in early 1992 by a group of parents who were concerned with the welfare of their children with learning difficulties. DescriptionREACH Ministry for the Hearing Impaired, SFX, PJ commenced in 1992 with 3 deaf persons and 1 interpreter. Over the last 10 years, through the initiatives of this Ministry, more than 45 deaf persons have been identified throughout KL Archdiocese. We are parish-based, serving/assisting the KL Archdiocese to provide pastoral care for the deaf. We network with parishes to pave the way for active participation and involvement of Deaf people in parish life, and encourage deaf leadership. Currently, there are interpreted Masses for the deaf available under the REACH programme in the PJ and Klang districts. In addition, we provide tailored programmes (faith, education and awareness, self development and general knowledge) for the Deaf. Has programmes in PJ, Klang, Penang, Buttorworh and Kuching.
